My Buffy adventure continues! In this volume vampires are back as the main big bad, but they are not normal vampires. No, they can turn into wolves, bees, fog… so it is up to Xander to go and speak to his old buddy Dracula and get him to help. I am not sure where I missed Xander being friends with Dracula? I definitely don’t remember it from the TV Series, maybe a previous comic where they added it in? Anyway, Dracula was awesome and quirky, I hope we see more of him!

So with Dracula in tow, the scooby gang are off to Tokyo to retrieve something that was stolen by these super-vampires. However, in Tokyo they are up against a serious army of vampires, and even with Dawn-the-giant things are not as easy. Especially when Dawn gets and unlikely opponent.

Now there is something I really want to discuss, but it in includes SPOILERS:

Buffy got her some girl action!! Hell yea that was great! I never saw Buffy go that route, but now that she did, I like it. The men in Buffy’s life have always disappointed her in one way or another and to see her being happy with someone, even if it not what I imagined, is awesome! I know not a lot of people like this part, but after some crazy ex-boyfriends I think she needed something nice. Oh and when everyone bursts into her room, was just priceless!

Xander was Dracula’s “Renfield” in the episode DRACULA which opened season five. If you haven’t seen it it’s a very funny episode. I love that Drac comes back for a visit in the comics:-)

Yes, it was one of those weird stand alone episodes, and then they bring Dawn in at the end. I remember thinking “huh?” But I did love that episode!
