Cover Characteristic – Face in the sky

.

This is a new meme hosted by Sugar & Snark. It came about when Sugar was wondering which cover to use for her #70 Cover of the Week post. Sugar kept on thinking of more than one, and they all seemed to have a theme/characteristic. So she decided to switch things up a bit!

Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit). You don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!

Today’s cover characteristic: Face in the sky

Sugar’s list:

5. The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
4. Out of the Silence : A Story of Love, Betrayal, Politics and Murder by Wendy James
3. The Van Alen Legacy (Blue Bloods #4) by Melissa de la Cruz
2. All These Things I’ve Done (Birthright #1) by Gabrielle Zevin

And Sugar’s favorite…

  1. Spirit (Sarah Midnight #3) by Daniela Sacerdoti

I was a bit confused about this week’s suggested topic, but I think this is what was meant by it!

1. Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
2. Greg @ Book Haven
3. Kati @ To Be Read
4. Michelle @ Much Loved Books

The upcoming themes:

2 July – Marilyn Monroe, 9th July – hearts, 16th July – fortune cookies

.
And then:
movie screen, cars
.

  • Greg Hill

The Van Alen Legacy is my favorite I think. I like the veil or whatever it is slightly obscuring her features, and the skyline as well.

    • Sugar & Snark

It is awesome! I need to finish that series. Think I read book 1.

  • Michelle

Super late at linking and commenting this week (stupid computer problems) No matter how hard I look through my books I always miss some, I never though of adding Van Alen Legacy or All These Things I’ve Said

    • Sugar & Snark

No worries. Glad it is all sorted now!
