Cover Characteristic – Skyline

This is a new meme hosted by Sugar & Snark. It came about when Sugar was wondering which cover to use for her #70 Cover of the Week post. Sugar kept on thinking of more than one, and they all seemed to have a theme/characteristic. So she decided to switch things up a bit!

Each week we will post a characteristic and choose 5 of our favorite covers with that characteristic. If you want to join in and share your 5 favorite covers with the weeks particular characteristic, then just make a post, grab the meme picture (or make your own) and leave your URL in Linky (so we can visit). You don’t even need to participate, just stopping by and saying hi would be great! Don’t forget to stop by the other participants!

  • Greg Hill

Nice list. I like On The Edge of Gone, but my favorite is a tossup between On The Island (because tropical beach) and The Long Earth (I just like the other world in the background). Both of those covers are great.

    • Sugar & Snark

Have you read On The Island and The Long Earth? They are both fantastic books!

      • Greg Hill

I have not, but based on those covers I might! 🙂

        • Sugar & Snark

On the Island is one of my fav books of all time (might not be for everyone though) and my husband and I love The Long Earth Series! So much fun!

  • Charlie Anderson

A Thousand Pieces of You is interesting. Double skylines!

    • Sugar & Snark

Agreed! I love the pinkish one!

  • I also used A Thousand Pieces of You, and I just LOVE it! So I have to choose that as my favorite. But I also like Countdown and On the Edge of Gone for their edgy, urban feel. But the beach one is also pretty 🙂

    • Sugar & Snark

I fully understand why you chose it as your favorite! It is gorgeous!

  • Kristine Twigg

I really love the A Thousand Pieces of You cover. Between the coloring and the double skylines, it’s both beautiful and interesting.

    • Sugar & Snark

Agreed! I really need to get my hands on a copy asap.

  • Lisa Mandina

A Thousand Pieces of You is my favorite. I started listening to the ebook, and think it is one I’d rather actually read the book. Love all of your picks though!

    • Sugar & Snark

When do you think you will pick it back up?

      • Lisa Mandina

Not sure. Maybe sometime this year as one of the books for my It’s New to Me Challenge.

        • Sugar & Snark

Cool. Hope it grabs you when you pick it up again!
