J.K. Rowling changed my life – Lots of pics!

As some of you might know, and some might find out now, I LOVE J.K. Rowling and everything to do with her. My obsession with Harry Potter started when I was around 16 I think. I used to read and re-read the books every 6 months or so (now it is every year or so). I also have a Harry Potter themed spare-room/library/reading room:

hp col

Yip and my Fiance allowed it! Especially since the walls are purple and the curtains pink-purple, which gives the room this pink glow! The color has nothing to do with HP, I just love the color 🙂

I also collect different language editions of Harry Potter:

Then I have also been part of this amazing Harry Potter site for 4 years:

I have met some great people on this site and some have become my best friends!

But it is not just Harry Potter that I love, I also LOVED The Casual Vacancy and even have a signed copy:

And now I hear about The Cuckoo’s Calling that J.K. Rowling wrote under a Pseudonym, Robert Galbraith. This is a mystery/crime series and the sequel will be released next year. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!

So that is the short and sweet of it. J.K. Rowling has changed my life and made if fuller and happier. I would not know several of my friends if it wasn’t for Harry Potter, and my dreams wouldn’t be filled with magical adventures that include getting my letter to Hogwarts. I will read anything and everything J.K. Rowling ever decides to write and I will never stop fangirling about Harry Potter. Can anyone relate?

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE Harry Potter! I collect almost everything. I have action figures, music boxes, snow globes, scene it… you name it I collect it. I too have the wands! I bought one for my son and me and they are made of beautiful wood. I first read Harry when I was 8 months pregnant and 11 years later I am still in love with anything Harry.

    • Oh wow I also want a snow globe!! That is soooo cool!!
I don’t think Harry Potter will ever go out of style for people like us 😀

So glad to know I’m not alone!

  • Niecole

Ah Lu, yes Harry Potter and JK Rowling changed my life as well. It got me reading again when I was about 15 or 16. I read the end book first and therefore it will always be my favorite. I obviously met you through Harry Potter and the amazing Hex. And through you I got to know Goodreads and met even more of the closests people that I know. I have had the priviledge to stay in your Harry Potter guest room, and it was one of my favorite things ever.

    • Awww Niecole, so glad HP brought us together! And so glad you love the room 😀

  • Eeeee you have an entire ROOM!!! A thing of beauty, it is. And a signed copy of Casual Vacancy! Jelly. It would be hard to put into words how much Jo has changed my life, truly.

    • I know what you mean! So much to say but I don’t know where to start 🙂

  • What a great collection of memorabilia and books! I do love the Harry Potter series, but I was never able to really get into The Casual Vacancy. I wish I could have!

I love that you have the books in different languages!
