Summary:

How many times have you walked along a beach and wanted to find something special? Treasure perhaps, or maybe something magical? This is the story about a young boy, called Tom, who does find something magical on a beach. He is amazed by a beautiful pebble lying in the sand so he picks it up and holds it tight. Something truly wonderful then happens and an incredible adventure begins.” – Goodreads

My Thoughts:

Its a bit difficult to review a children’s book, but here goes. I read this to my son and he was enthralled from the beginning. The story is very cute and the illustrations match is perfectly. The book follows a boy that finds a magical pebble! The pebble helps him save someones life in an unexpected way. There are cute little bits and pieces in the illustrations that you don’t see right away, but with re-reads they surprise you.

What I love about it is that the book was written by a 9-year-old! Well done!

Overall, a fun book that James enjoyed a lot. I will reread it to him often as he has a love for books!
