Summary:

Can’t imagine living without cheese? Convinced that dairy-free baked goods just don’t cut it? Hate the taste of tofu and not a fan of boring salads? EXCUSES, BE GONE! If you’re a waffling vegan newbie, on-the-fence vegetarian, or veg-curious omnivore, this book will banish your doubts. You’ll find you can get enough protein, fit in at a potluck, learn to love cauliflower, and enjoy pizza, nachos, brownies, and more—without any animal products at all. (Even vegan pros will discover some new tricks!)” – Goodreads

My Thoughts:

What a gorgeous cookbook with great recipes and amazing photographs! Each recipe has a handy symbol that indicates, Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Nut-Free, To-Go and Plan-Ahead. There are also a section that explains how to make the smaller things you need for recipes, such as cashew cream or vegetable broth and a handy ‘how to’ section, such as ‘how to roast garlic’ and ‘how to cook beans’. And the most important one for me: ‘how to cook grains’!

Here is a taste of the recipes in this book:

  • Chickpea Sloppy Joes
  • Buckwheat Banana Bread Pancakes with Peanut Butter Syrup
  • Pecan-date cinnamon rolls
  • Carrot cashew pate
  • Gnocchi Alla Vodka
  • Sweet & Sour Cauliflower

Favorite Recipe:

Creamy Mushroom Fettuccine Alfredo

This was by far my favorite recipe. I LOVE pasta. Probably more than I should, and creamy recipes are always something I try. This one was amazing and I will definitely make it again!

Full disclosure: I didn’t have fettuccine. I forgot to buy it…
