My Thoughts:

Chickpeas have always been a thing of mystery to me. I have never cooked with it and the only way I have ever consumed it was in hummus form – in copious amounts I might add. So when I saw this cookbook up for review, I just had to request a copy! Chickpeas are a super legume that is rich in iron, folate and other vitamins and nutrients! They also have a low glycemic index. All of which made me super excited to see the recipes!

My only complaint would be quite a few recipes that rely on meat, but other than that the recipe book did not disappoint!

Here is a taste of the recipes in this book:

  • Hummus Guacamole
  • Miso & Chickpea Soup
  • Vegetable Muffins
  • Fluffy Pancakes

Favorite Recipe:

Crunchy Cumin Chickpeas

I have always wanted to oven roast some chickpeas, but never had the motivation to do it. And when I saw the strange mixture of flavors in this recipe (cinnamon and cumin), I had to try it! It was so easy and super tasty! I will make them again and try a few of my own flavor mixtures.

This got a 7/10 from me.
